The bottleneck for progress in many research areas within neuroscience has shifted from the data acquisition to the data analysis stages. In the present article, we propose a method named InTool Explorer that we have developed to perform interactive exploratory data analysis, focusing on neuroanatomy as an example of its utility. This tool is freely-available software that has been designed to facilitate the study of complex neuroscience data. InTool Explorer requires no more than an internet…

VisNEST — Interactive analysis of neural activity data
TLDR
An interactive analysis tool that enables neuroscientists to explore data from multi-scale simulations capturing both low-level neural activity and large-scalce interactions between brain regions and populations, and visualizing activity flux across regions is described.
Parallel Sets: interactive exploration and visual analysis of categorical data
TLDR
Parallel Sets are a new method for the visualization and interactive exploration of categorical data that shows data frequencies instead of the individual data points, based on the axis layout of parallel coordinates, with boxes representing the categories and parallelograms between the axes showing the relations between categories.
VisFlow - Web-based Visualization Framework for Tabular Data with a Subset Flow Model
TLDR
VisFlow is a web-based visualization framework for tabular data that employs a specific type of data flow model called the subset flow model, which features the analysis flexibility of a flow diagram, and at the same time reduces the diagram complexity and improves usability.
