We report here the in vivo production of type 2 fucosylated-N-acetyllactosamine oligosaccharides in Escherichia coli. Lacto-N-neofucopentaose Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-3Galβ1-4(Fucα1-3)Glc, lacto-N-neodifucohexaose Galβ1-4(Fucα1-3)Glc-NAcβ1-3Galβ1-4(Fucα1-3)Glc, and lacto-N-neodifucooctaose Galβ1-4GlcNAcβ1-3Galβ1-4(Fucα1-3)GlcNAcβ1-3Galβ1-4(Fucα1-3)Glc were produced from lactose added in the culture medium.
