The present study is part of the current concerns with biodiversity conservation of endangered gymnosperm species from The Natural Park of Comana. Marsilea quadrifolia species is protected both at a national and European level (through the Habitats Directive of the EU and the Bern Convention). The aspects of in vitro morphogenesis through all the stages from inoculation, multiplication to rooting and acclimatization have been studied. In order to long term conserve and multiply or to exploit…

In vitro propagation of critically endangered species Scilla autumnalis L. - biochemical analyses of the regenerants.
The present study belongs to the international efforts for plant conservation from the areas threatened by human activities. The saline soils areas are restricting for agriculture and in some cases
In vitro micropropagation of the aquatic fern Marsilea quadrifolia L. and genetic stability assessment by RAPD markers
TLDR
Positive results suggest that the in vitro HF micropropagation could be useful in the development of ex situ conservation programs of M. quadrifolia, even in order to possibly reintroduce the plants in their natural environment.
IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF RARE SPECIES Ruscus aculeatus L. AND HISTOLOGICAL PECULIARITIES OF THE REGENERANTS
TLDR
The results indicated that this plant species can be multiplicated, rooted and acclimatized on synthetic medium with a good efficiency and the regenerants develop a only a few structural modification under vitroculture conditions, with no major consequences for a normal physiology and plant Acclimatization.
COMPARATIVE STUDIES REGARDING ULTRASTRUCTURE OF MARSILEA QUADRTFOLIA L . ( PTERIDOPHYTA ) LEAF MESOPHYLL CELLS IN VIVO AND IN VITRO CULTURE
A comparative analysis of the ultrastructural peculiarities of Marsilea quadrifolia L. mesophyll cells of the leaves belonging to the plants grown in in vitro system and in natural habitat are
In vitro conservation under slow growth conditions of two rare plant species from Caryophyllaceae family
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the aspects of medium term conservation under slow growth conditions of two rare plant species from Caryophyllaceae family: Gypsophila petraea (Baumg.) Rchb.
Direct Organogenesis from Rhizome Explants in Marsilea quadrifolia L.: A Threatened Fern Species
TLDR
An efficient micropropagation protocol has been developed for Marsilea quadrifolia L. through direct organogenesis and there were no observable differences in between in vivo grown and in vitro propagated plantlets in the field.
Biotechnology for Endangered Plant Conservation
TLDR
In vitro techniques for plant conservation include photoautotrophic micropropagation, somatic embryogenesis, cell culture and embryo rescue techniques, as well as in vitro cold storage and cryopreservation methods and their contribution toward an integrated system to conserve endangered plant species are presented.
Conservation Status and Conservation Strategies of threatened aquatic fern Marsilea quadrifolia L. in Europe
The aquatic fern Marsilea quadrifolia L is a rare and threatened species in entire Europe due to wetland habitats destruction and changing agricultural practices. To protect it, in situ and ex situ
MARSILEA QUADRIFOLIA L. IN THE PROTECTED WETLANDS FROM ROMANIA
The Romanian Pteridophyta flora has only one species that belongs to Marsiliaceae family of aquatic ferns: Marsilea quadrifolia L. According to the map of European naturally occurrence of M.

TLDR
Results indicate that the blue light signal is not mediated by ABA, and in the regulation of heterophyllous determination, discrete pathways exist in response to environmental signals.

TLDR
In vivo redox biosensing resolves the spatiotemporal dynamics of compartmental responses to local ROS generation and provide a basis for understanding how compartment-specific redox dynamics may operate in retrograde signaling and stress 67 acclimation in plants.
