In vitro propagation of three rare, endangered and endemic rhododendron species—Rhododendron dalhousiae var. rhabdotum, R. elliottii, and R. johnstoneanum—was attained. Nodal explants were used for multiple shoot induction studies. Three cytokinins (isopentenyladenine, benzyladenine, and kinetin) were evaluated in all three species.
