The nature of the explant, seedling age, medium type, plant growth regulators, complex extracts (casein hydrolysate, coconut milk, malt extract and yeast extract) and antioxidants (activated charcoal, ascorbic acid, citric acid and polyvinylpyrrolidone) markedly influenced in vitro propagation of Gymnema sylvestre.
