In vitro and in vivo activity of benzo[c]phenanthridines against Leishmania amazonensis.

Seven benzo[c]phenanthridines, synthetic or isolated from Zanthoxylum rhoifolium root bark, were evaluated against Leishmania amazonensis axenic amastigotes.
