A bstractWe introduce a non-perturbative improvement for the renormalization group step scaling function based on the gradient flow running coupling, which may be applied to any lattice gauge theory of interest. Considering first SU(3) gauge theory with Nf = 4 massless staggered fermions, we demonstrate that this improvement can remove $ \mathcal{O}\left( {{a^2}} \right) $ lattice artifacts, and thereby increases our control over the continuum extrapolation. Turning to the 12-flavor system, we…

The renormalization group step scaling function of the 2-flavor SU(3) sextet model

We investigate the discrete $\beta$ function of the 2-flavor SU(3) sextet model using the finite volume gradient flow scheme. Our results, using clover improved nHYP smeared Wilson fermions, follow

On the gradient flow of the Lagrangian density in non-Abelian gauge theories

We observe that the would-be running coupling on the lattice defined by means of the gradient-flow method in order to identify the conformal window of QCD is not renormalization-group invariant

We study the evolution of the coupling in SU(2) gauge field theory with $N_f=8$ fundamental fermion flavors on the lattice. This model is expected to have an infrared fixed point at high coupling. We

Improved gradient flow for step scaling function and scale setting

The gradient flow renormalized coupling offers a simple and relatively inexpensive way to calculate the step scaling function and the lattice scale, but both applications can be hindered by large

Nonperturbative β function of twelve-flavor SU(3) gauge theory

Nonperturbative lattice field theory simulations provide a systematic framework to investigate properties of conformal systems at strong couplings. These simulations can be performed using different

Composite Higgs model at a conformal fixed point

We propose to construct a chirally broken model based on the infrared fixed point of a conformal system by raising the mass of some flavors while keeping the others massless. In the infrared limit,

We compute the bare step-scaling function sb for SU(3) lattice gauge theory with Nf = 12 massless fundamental fermions, using the non-perturbative Wilson-flow-optimized Monte Carlo Renormalization

Lattice study of conformal behavior in SU(3) Yang-Mills theories

Using lattice simulations, we study the extent of the conformal window for an SU(3) gauge theory with N{sub f} Dirac fermions in the fundamental representation. We extend our recently reported work,
