We have applied an active contour method based on level sets to the problem of image-based model construction for computational hemodynamics. The geometric nature of the segmentation algorithm makes it suitable for use with solid modeling techniques. Using the methodology shown, we have constructed models that are appropriate for use with blood flow simulation applications.
