This paper reports the improvement of rectification effects in diffusernozzle structures with viscoelastic fluids. Since rectification in a diffusernozzle structure with Newtonian fluids is caused by inertial effects, micropumps based on this concept require a relatively high Reynolds numbers and high pumping frequencies.
