The use of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques for evaluation of pharmacologic stimuli has great potential for understanding neurotransmitter dynamics for a number of brain disorders, such as drug abuse, schizophrenia, epilepsy, or neurodegeneration.
