Combining the recently reported electric dipole moment (EDM) of the $^{199}\mathrm{Hg}$ atom due to breaking of parity and time-reversal symmetries with the improved relativistic atomic calculations, precise limits on the tensor-pseudotensor (T-PT) electron-nucleus (e-N) coupling coefficient and the nuclear Schiff moment interactions are determined. Using these limits with the nuclear calculations, we infer limits on the EDMs of the neutron and proton as ${d}_{n}l2.2\ifmmode\times\else… 23 Citations ## Figures and Tables from this paper Limits on CP-violating hadronic interactions and proton EDM from paramagnetic molecules • Physics • 2020 Experiments with paramagnetic ground or metastable excited states of molecules (ThO, HfF$^+$, YbF, YbOH, BaF, PbO, etc.) provide strong constraints on electron electric dipole moment (EDM) and Electric dipole moment of Hg199 atom from P , CP -odd electron-nucleon interaction • Physics Physical Review D • 2019 We calculate the effect of the P, CP-odd electron-nucleon interaction on the electric dipole moment of the$^{199}$Hg atom by evaluating the nuclear spin matrix elements in terms of the nuclear shell Relativistic many-body theory of the electric dipole moment of Xe129 and its implications for probing new physics beyond the standard model • Physics Physical Review A • 2019 We report the results of our theoretical studies of the time-reversal and parity violating electric dipole moment (EDM) of$^{129}\mathrm{Xe}$arising from the nuclear Schiff moment (NSM) and the P,T -odd tensor-pseudotensor interactions in atomic Hg199 and Ra225 • T. The normal coupled-cluster method has been extended to the relativistic regime to calculate the EDMs of atoms by simultaneously incorporating the electrostatic and P,T-odd interactions in order to overcome the shortcomings of the ordinary RCC method and the results are found to be close.
