Combining the recently reported electric dipole moment (EDM) of the $^{199}\mathrm{Hg}$ atom due to breaking of parity and time-reversal symmetries with the improved relativistic atomic calculations, precise limits on the tensor-pseudotensor (T-PT) electron-nucleus (e-N) coupling coefficient and the nuclear Schiff moment interactions are determined. Using these limits with the nuclear calculations, we infer limits on the EDMs of the neutron and proton as ${d}_{n}l2.2\ifmmode\times\else…

Limits on CP-violating hadronic interactions and proton EDM from paramagnetic molecules

Experiments with paramagnetic ground or metastable excited states of molecules (ThO, HfF$^+$, YbF, YbOH, BaF, PbO, etc.) provide strong constraints on electron electric dipole moment (EDM) and

Electric dipole moment of Hg199 atom from P , CP -odd electron-nucleon interaction

We calculate the effect of the P, CP-odd electron-nucleon interaction on the electric dipole moment of the $^{199}$Hg atom by evaluating the nuclear spin matrix elements in terms of the nuclear shell

Relativistic many-body theory of the electric dipole moment of Xe129 and its implications for probing new physics beyond the standard model

We report the results of our theoretical studies of the time-reversal and parity violating electric dipole moment (EDM) of $^{129}\mathrm{Xe}$ arising from the nuclear Schiff moment (NSM) and the

Highly correlated pure {\it{ab initio}} relativistic configuration interaction theory is in the present paper applied to the calculation of the tensor-pseudotensor ${\cal{(P,T)}}$-violating

Large-scale shell-model calculations of nuclear Schiff moments of Xe129 and Hg199

The theoretical uncertainty in the nuclear Schiff moment is an obstacle to set constraints on $ CP $ violation beyond the standard model from experimental upper bounds on atomic electric dipole

Dipole polarizability calculation of the Cd atom: Inconsistency with experiment

Three earlier relativistic coupled-cluster (RCC) calculations of dipole polarizability (${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{d}$) of the Cd atom are not in good agreement with the available experimental value of

Deuteron EDM induced by CP -violating couplings of pseudoscalar mesons

We analyze contributions to the electric dipole (EDM) and Schiff (SFM) moments of deuteron induced by the CP-violating three-pseudoscalar meson couplings using phenomenological Lagrangian approach

Relativistic Normal Coupled-Cluster Theory for Accurate Determination of Electric Dipole Moments of Atoms: First Application to the ^{199}Hg Atom.

The normal coupled-cluster method has been extended to the relativistic regime to calculate the EDMs of atoms by simultaneously incorporating the electrostatic and P,T-odd interactions in order to overcome the shortcomings of the ordinary RCC method and the results are found to be close.

Model-independent determinations of the electron EDM and the role of diamagnetic atoms

A bstractWe perform model-independent analyses extracting limits for the electric dipole moment of the electron and the P,T-odd scalar-pseudoscalar (S-PS) nucleon-electron coupling from the most

Electric dipole moments of atoms, molecules, nuclei, and particles

A permanent electric dipole moment (EDM) of a particle or system is a separation of charge along its angular momentum axis and is a direct signal of T violation and, assuming CPT symmetry, CP

Lepton Dipole Moments

From the famous experiments of Stern and Gerlach to the present, measurements of magnetic dipole moments, and searches for electric dipole moments of “elementary” particles have played a major role
