A careful analysis of the immune response to immunization of amyloid precursor protein/transgenic (APP/Tg) mice with beta-amyloid (Abeta) may provide insights into why a subset of the patients in a clinical trial receiving Abeta-immunotherapy developed encephalomyelitis.
