The use of concurrency in the development of safety-critical systems has not been recommended for a long time. Recently, a safe Ada tasking subset has been defined, known as the Ravenscar Profile. The imposed restrictions invalidated most of the proposed implementations for dealing with mode changes.In this paper, it is described an implementation approach for mode changes, that is compliant with the Ravenscar Profile.
