Item recognition for unfamiliar faces and scenes was tested in Jon, who has developmental amnesia resulting from bilateral hippocampal pathology. Performance and confidence judgements in healthy adults showed that both tests were equated for difficulty and had similar receiver operating characteristics (ROCs).
