The basis for impaired reduced folate carrier (RFC) activity in methotrexate-resistant CCRF-CEM (CEM/Mtx-1) cells was examined. Parental and CEM/Mtx-1 cells expressed identical levels of the 3. 1-kilobase RFC transcript.
