Water-dispersible beadlets of carotenoids were used as supplements for human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and human monocytes. Stability, cellular association and cytotoxicity of the carotenoid beadlets were compared with carotenoids delivered with tetrahydrofuran (THF).
