  • The activation of thromboxane prostanoid (TP) receptor on platelets, monocytes/macrophages, endothelial cells, and vascular smooth muscle cells (SMC) plays important roles in regulating platelet activation and vascular tone and in the pathogenesis of thrombosis and vascular inflammation.
