To evaluate the effect of post-transplant imatinib administration, 34 Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph(+)ALL) patients were retrospectively analysed, with 7 receiving post-transplant imatinib administration. Overall survival was significantly better in patients with post-transplant administration (66.7% vs. 29.6% at 3 years, p=0.03), with no significant difference in leukaemia-free survival (0% vs. 29.6% at 3 years, p=0.29).
