The present investigation aimed at estimating the influence of gamma rays on germination and growth parameters of groundnut revealed suppressive effect compared to non irradiated seed. Groundnut seed (Narayani) were exposed to gamma rays ranging from 0.70 kGy to 2.30 kGy using CO gamma radiation (GC 5000) facility at Quality Control Laboratory, Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during 2010-2011.
