6601 Background: The natural history, optimal therapy, and prognostic factors of SPTCL are not well defined. METHODS The English medical literature was reviewed for reported SPTCL cases up to June 2003. In most cases, microscopic descriptions and photographs were available for review to confirm diagnosis. RESULTS We identified 156 cases of SPTCL. The median age at diagnosis was 39 years (range, 0.5-84). Hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS) was reported to be present in 51 patients.
