Background: Biochemical, haematological and Immunomodulatory effect of Ocimum sanctum in rat was studied. Objective: To evaluate the immunomodulatory effect of Ocimum sanctum in rat Methods: Aqueous extract of Ocimum sanctum were administered oraly at doses of 100, 200 mg/kg/day for 45 days in wistar albino rats. Immunomodulatory effect and biochemical and haematological changes were tested by standard methods. Results: Aqueous extract of the Ocimum sanctum showed increasing antibody production…

EFFICACY OF OCIMUM BASILICUM FOR IMMUNOMODULATORY ACTIVITY IN WISTAR ALBINO RAT Research Article
TLDR
O. basilicum showed immunomodulatory effect in wister albino rat that enhanced the antibody titre value and improves the RBC and haemoglobin count.
Effect of Ocimum Sanctum (Tulsi) on Serum Calcium And Serum Inorganic Phosphate Activities of Male Albino Rat
TLDR
Investigation of the effect of different schedules of oral administration of tulsi( Ocimum sanctum)leaf on serum calcium and serum phosphate activities of male albino rats found significant changes were observed in serumcium and serum inorganic phosphate activities.
Review on Pharmacological Potential of Ocimum sanctum L.
TLDR
The pharmacological activities of O. sanctum compounds reproduce their medicinal importance and in the standardization of medicinal products will be helpful in the development of new active principle and nutraceuticals.
IMMUNOSTIMULATORY EFFECT OF OCIMUM SANCTUM LINN. LEAF EXTRACT IN CLARIAS BATRACHUS LINN
TLDR
It is appropriate to conclude that the plant extract of Ocimum sanctum may act as a potent Immunostimulant in Clarias batrachus Linn.
TOXICOLOGICAL EVAL UATION OF THE AQUEOUS LEAF EXTRACT OF OCIMUM GRATISSIMUM IN WISTAR RATS
TLDR
It was concluded that ethnomedicinal application of Ocimum gratissimum is quite safe at lower doses but it is hepatotoxi c and nephrotoxic at higher doses.
Antileishmanial and immunomodulatory potential of Ocimumsanctum Linn. and Cocosnucifera Linn. in murine visceral leishmaniasis
TLDR
Overall, administration of the extracts of these two plants in combination as compared to their administration alone rescued the affected mice from the disease greatly, which can be attributed to their antileishmanial and immunomodulatory activities.
Effect of Hydroalcoholic Extract of Artemisia dracunculus L. (Tarragon) on the Levels of Serum Proteins in Small Laboratory Mice
TLDR
The effect of hydroalcoholic extract of tarragon on the levels of serum proteins in mice was determined to determine the role of blood plasma proteins in maintaining the body homeostasis.
ANTIPSYCHOTIC POTENTIALS OF OCIMUM SANCTUM LEAVES
TLDR
The results suggest that OCLP posse’s antipsychotic activity can be explored to explore the mechanism of action of the plant drug with respect to anti-dopaminergic functions and help to establish the plant as an antipsychotics agent.
ETHNOMEDICOBOTANICAL STUDY ON OCIMUM SANCTUM L. (TULSI) - A REVIEW
