Antimelanoma antibodies previously demonstrated in the serum of melanoma patients by immunofluorescence have now been detected by a sensitive and quantitative complement fixation technique. The melanoma-specific antibodies detected by both of these techniques show a remarkable correlation with the stage of disease.
