The distribution of somatostatin (SOM), neuropeptide Y (NPY), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), substance P (SP), tyrosine hydroxylase (a marker of noradrenergic neurons, NA) and nitric oxide synthase-immunoreactivity (NOS-IR) was examined in the inferior mesenteric ganglion of guinea pigs with double- and triple-labelling immunohistochemistry.
