Sera from 96 patients with lung cancer were assayed in order to evaluate the concentrations of IgG, IgA, IgM, C3c and C4. Histologically, 49 of the patients had squamous cell carcinoma, 11--adenocarcinoma, 20--small cell carcinoma and 16--not identified lung cancer. No statistically significant differences were found between the concentrations of IgG and IgM in patients with carcinoma of the lung versus subjects in the control group.
