The coding sequences of p17 and p24 of the Glasgow-8 strain of feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) were amplified using the polymerase chain reaction and cloned into plasmid vectors. The predicted amino-acid sequences of FIV/Glasgow-8 p17 and p24 were compared with those of the Petaluma and PPR isolates of FIV.
