1. The induction and spread of seizure activity was studied using imaging and electrophysiological techniques in the isolated whole brain of the guinea pig. We examined the role of GABA and glutamate receptor subtypes in controlling the spread of seizure activity across the olfactory cortex from a focus in the entorhinal cortex.
