Encephalopathy is a potentially fatal toxicity of ifosfamide. Clinical manifestations of encephalopathy range from fatigue and confusion to coma and death. Early identification of this toxicity and prompt cessation of ifosfamide are the essential elements in the management of ifosfamide encephalopathy.
