  • Gigantomastia refers to pathological breast enlargement usually occurring in the peripubertal or peripartum period. Idiopathic gigantomastia, however, is a rare entity with hypotheses citing local expression of hormones and growth factors in causing this disease, none of which have been systemically analysed.
