PURPOSE The identification of the epileptogenic zone (EZ) is crucial for planning epilepsy surgery in patients with drug-resistant partial epilepsy. This task may require intracerebral encephalography (EEG) monitoring, the results of which are usually interpreted by visual presurgical inspection.
