The active compounds of oak‐sap odour in attracting adults of two butterflies, Kaniska canace (L.) and Vanessa indica (Herbst) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae), were identified by chemical analyses, electroantennogram (EAG) and two behavioural assays: proboscis extension reflex (PER) and attraction to artificial tree models.
