cDNA sequences encoding homologs of cyclin B and Cdk1/Cdc2 were isolated from bovine blastocyst-stage embryos produced in vitro. The bovine CycB sequence is 1548 nucleotides (nt) in length and contains the conserved motif 'FLRRXSK', characteristic for known cyclin B proteins. The deduced protein contains 427 amino acids (aa) and has an estimated mass of 47,653 Da.
