In this study, we characterized three full-length genome sequences with a similar mosaic structure from epidemiologically unlinked individuals from Cameroon (97CM-MP818) and the Central African Republic (99CF-MP1298 and 99CF-MP1307). Phylogenetic and recombinant analysis confirmed that the three strains had a similar complex recombinant genome, which we can designate now as CRF11-cpx.
