We previously demonstrated that Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) multiplication is restricted in permissive BmN-4 cells upon coinfection with Hyphantria cunea NPV (HycuNPV). Here, we show that HycuNPV-encoded hycu-ep32 gene is responsible for the restricted BmNPV multiplication in HycuNPV-coinfected BmN-4 cells.
