A line of pre-industrialised product prototypes for the information handling on a road construction site were developed within the European Union funded development project OSYRIS (Open System for Road Information Support) during 2000-2003. These complementary products were extensively tested and validated on road construction sites. The influence on the paving operations, quality, costs etc. was evaluated.
