A typical case history of a pavement management implementation project is summarized. The project covered a major part of the highway system of the province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) and was undertaken in conjunction with the Federal-Provincial Atlantic Provinces Highway Strengthening Improvement Agreement. An extensive field inventory was performed on approximately 500 km of PEI's Trans Canada and major-arterial road networks.
