OBJECTIVES Neuroendocrine activation may be an important adjunctive mechanism for left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) development. Controversy exists to as to whether LVH regression occurs due to blood pressure (BP) reduction alone or if adjunctive mechanisms play a role.
