BACKGROUND Auditory evoked potentials (AEP) provide a correlate of cognitive dysfunction in schizophrenia. Both cognitive dysfunction and AEP-characteristics might be related to reduced glutamatergic neurotransmission as induced by glutamate-antagonist like ketamine.
