Hydroxyurea inhibition of growth and DNA synthesis in Toxoplasma gondii: characterization of a resistant mutant.

Abstract

Hydroxyurea inhibited the growth and DNA synthesis of Toxoplasma gondii growing in human fibroblast cells. A concentration of 18 micrograms/ml totally suppressed plaque formation.
