Abstract Three hydroxycinnamic acid amides were isolated from the herb of Iochroma cyaneum and identified by means of spectral data and hydrolysis as caffeoylputrescine (paucine), feruloylputrescine (subaphylline) and the new N1,N10-di-dihydrocaffeoylspermidine.
Flavonoids from Iochroma gesnerioides.
TLDR
Two aglycones and quercetin and three glycosides were isolated from Iochroma gesnerioides (Kunth) Miers (Solanaceae) and their isolation and identification are reported here. Expand
Spermidine alkaloid from Banara parviflora
TLDR
Fractionation of the ethanolic extract from Banara parviflora leaves afforded, a new compound identified as N1,N8-dibenzoylspermidinyl-N4-acetamide, a spermidine alkaloid, a wirk of the Salicaceae family. Expand
Amine distribution and content in several parts of the subantarctic endemic species Lyallia kerguelensis (Hectorellaceae)
The leaves, stems and roots of the subantarctic endemic species from Kerguelen Lyallia kerguelensis showed different patterns of amine accumulation. The leaves contained the highest free amine, stemsExpand
Amide alkaloids from Scopolia tangutica.
TLDR
The present study represents the first recognition of hydroxycinnamic acid amides containing putrescine or spermidine in S. tangutica and exhibited moderate agonist activity at the µ-opioid receptor. Expand

Amides From Plants: Structures and Biological Importance
Abstract Natural products and their derivatives represent more than 50% of the drugs in clinical use in the world and amides are one of them. Amides constitute an important class of plant secondaryExpand
Isolation, Gastroprotective Effects and Untargeted Metabolomics Analysis of Lycium Minutifolium J. Remy (Solanaceae)
TLDR
The results can support the gastroprotective properties of the edible infusion extract, and at least can validate in part, the ethnopharmacological uses of the plant. Expand
Acyl spermidines in inflorescence extracts of elder (Sambucus nigra L., Adoxaceae) and elderflower drinks.
TLDR
Analysis of commercial elderflower drinks showed that acyl spermidines were persistent in these processed elderflower products. Expand
Chapter 4 Macrocyclic Peptide Alkaloids From Plants
Publisher Summary This chapter reviews macrocyclic peptide alkaloids in dealing with cyclic oligopeptides. To date, many macrocyclic peptides alkaloid have been isolated from plants. Alkaloids areExpand
Evolutionary correlations in flavonoid production across flowers and leaves in the Iochrominae (Solanaceae).
TLDR
The results suggest that shifts in flower color may occur without significant pleiotropic consequences for flavonoid production in vegetative tissues. Expand
