The CuO nano particles were synthesized from copper sulfate pentahydrate aqueous solution under the low hydrothermal condition at 80°C.The average crystallite size was calculated from De-Bye Scherrer’s equation. SEM/EDS,XRD were used to characterize the structure features of the product. FTIR spectra confirmed the adsorption of ammonia on the surface of the CuO nanoparticles.
