Studies were performed in hypercholesterolemic rabbits to determine whether the hydrophobic surfactant, Poloxalene 2930 (Pol), is of benefit under these conditions. Lipoprotein analyses plus chemical and morphologic studies of the aorta were performed to evaluate the results.
