A synopsis of the Hydrometra (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Hydrometridae) from the Amazon River floodplain, Brazil, with redescription of Hydrometra argentina Berg

Hydrometra argentina Berg, 1879, H. caraiba Guerin-Meneville, 1857 and H. guianana Hungerford & Evans, 1934 are newly recorded in the Amazon River floodplain, Brazil, providing a key to the three known species occurring in this region.

New records of aquatic Heteroptera (Hemiptera) from the Andean foothills of the Amazonia (Putumayo, Colombia)

Four new records of species of aquatic heteropterous are added to the entomofauna of Colombia and, distributional limits are extended for all species collected. New data is reported for the

New distributional data concerning some Gerromorpha (Insecta: Hemiptera: Heteroptera) from Brazil

Distributional information is provided for 51 Gerromorpha species from Brazil, including first species records from the states of Alagoas, Paraiba, and Sergipe, and additional new records and distributional information are provided.

A preliminary survey of the inland aquatic macroinvertebrate biodiversity of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

ABSTRACT The use of quantitative invertebrate community indices to monitor inland water quality is widespread. However, this approach is rare for the Caribbean, where the dominant animal groups are

Influence of Local Variables and Landscape Metrics on Gerromorpha (Insecta: Heteroptera) Assemblages in Savanna Streams, Brazil

The hypothesis of this study is that in-stream environmental conditions are more important determinants of species richness and composition of Gerromorpha assemblage, given that they are affected directly by changes that occur within the stream, rather than by landscape conditions.
