The release of human growth hormone (GH) from bioartificial polymeric materials in the form of hydrogels, was measured in vitro for up to 3 weeks. Poly(vinyl-alcohol) (PVA) was blended, in different ratios, with two biological polymers, dextran and chitosan respectively.
