Hydrocele of the spermatic cord: Embryology and ultrasonographic appearance

Abstract

Five cases of hydrocele of the spermatic cord are presented. All five patients had a firm inguinal mass, and ultrasonography, performed to exclude adenopathy, incarcerated hernia, and paratesticular tumor, showed an avascular cystic mass superior to and separate from the testicle.
