Hydraulic properties of waste and cover soil from Kimpo Metropolitan Landfill were experimentally measured by laboratory tests. The degree of compaction was changed to identify the effect on hydraulic conductivity, field capacity, and permanent wilting point. Properties were utilized in developing a reliable numerical tool for leachate analysis. HELP, a simulation model for hydrologic evaluation of landfill performance, was adopted for that purpose.
