Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a member of colony stimulating factors which regulate the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. A full-length cDNA clone coding human G-CSF was used as a hybridization probe to detect homologous sequence in human-mouse somatic cell hybrids, flow-sorted human chromosomes, and in situ human metaphase chromosomes.
