A series of experiments, exploring nonverbal behavior in human-computer systems, is presented. The first two experiments examine the rate and type of facial expressions exhibited across a variety of computer-based tasks. The third experiment focuses on users behavioral responses to agent-based systems, and the fourth experiment focuses on gaze responses in humanhuman, computer-mediated communication.
