Posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) is a potentially fatal disorder arising after solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Iatrogenically impaired immune surveillance and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) primary infection or reactivation are key factors in the pathogenesis.
