In our referral equine behavior practice we frequently become involved in the rehabilitation of horses that are perceived by their owners and veterinarians as intractably non-compliant with one or more veterinary procedures—such as injections, nasogastric tubing, genital examination, washing of the penis for breeding, or other manipulation about the head, legs, genitals, or hind quarters.
