This project was directed at seeking solutions to the constraints imposed on the pharmaceutical supply chain of one of the largest and busiest state-owned hospitals in Africa. This work shows that the problem is strongly NP-hard and provides a $$2$$2-approximation algorithm and proposes a branch-and-bound algorithm that performs efficiently and numerical simulation results show that the approximation algorithm performs efficiently.
